A RESOLUTION TO WAIVE THE FORMAL SELECTION PROCESS
FOR ARCHITECT /ENGINEER (A /E) SERVICES TO DESIGN THE
OTTER CREEK FIRE STATION; AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER, OR HIS DELEGATE, TO NEGOTIATE FOR SUCH
SERVICES; AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
THE CONTRACT, AND TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
ACCOMPLISH THAT PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the Otter Creek Development Company has agreed
to provide to the City of Little Rock a site in or near the
Otter Creek Subdivision for the purpose of construction of a
City fire station; and,
WHEREAS, the Architect /Engineer firm of Whittenberg,
Deloney and Davidson is the firm used by the Otter Creek Develop-
ment Company in the design of the community of Otter Creek
Subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, the Otter Creek Development Company desires to
keep any structure in the development consistent with its design
in the community; the said company desires that the City use
said professional firm in the design of the new fire station;
and, it has requested the City to do so; and,
WHEREAS, the firm of Whittenberg, Delony and Davidson is
well qualified, and enjoys a good reputation within the community
of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the City has no objection to employment of said
firm to accomplish design of said fire station, but there should
be a waiver of the formal selection process to employ architect/
engineer services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The formal selection process for employment
of architect /engineer services for the design of the new fire
station to be located and constructed at the Otter Creek Sub-
division Development in the City of Little Rock shall be and
and they are hereby waived, and the firm of Whittenberg, Delony
and Davidson of Little Rock, Arkansas, is designated as the
professional firm to develop such design.

SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the delegate of the
City Manager, shall negotiate a contract with the firm of
Whittenberg, Delony and Davidson for their professional services
in the design of the said fire station; and the City Manager
is hereby authorized to award a contract to the said professional
firm for such services; and the City Manager is hereby empowered
to do all things necessary to accomplish such purpose.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
