HomeMy WebLinkAbout6884183 RESOLUTION N0, 6,884 A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ASSISTANT POLICE CHIEF JESS FRANKLIN "DOC" HALE FOR MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL SERVICE TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS A MEMBER OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Assistant Police Chief Jess Franklin "Doc" Hale has served more than twenty years as a member of the Little Rock Police Department beginning as a patrolman on April 9, 1962 and advancing to a sergeant on May 16, 1970, a lieutenant on August 21, 1972, a captain on June 16, 1975 and Assistant Chief on January 16, 1978; and WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Doc Hale received the John Edgar Hoover Certificate of Award for Scholastic Excellence for graduating at the 'top of his class of three hundred in December of 1972 at the FBI National Academy; and WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Doc Hale has compiled a record of excellence during his more than twenty years with the Police Department including awards of Officer of the Year from the Seratoma Club and Outstanding Young Officer of 1971 from the Little Rock Jaycees; and WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Doc Hale is married, and he and his wife, Jean, have two children, Tracy and Billy. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. Assistant Police Chief Jess Franklin "Doc" Hale is hereby commended for his excellent record of outstanding service during the more than twenty years he has been with the Little Rock Police Department. Section 2. The City of Little Rock hereby expresses its appreciation to Assistant Chief Doc Hale for his valuable service to the City and wishes him success in all of his future endeavors. • • �, Section 3.
