This opening date will allow us time to revise the sub- mittal to the Board to reflect the low bidder with the corresponding low bid and meet the Pony Express deadline of December 16, 1983. 5. The Geyer Springs Drainage Improvement Project, the #2 priority project in the 1983 Drainage Improvement Program, has increased in scope to the point where both projects cannot be funded from the current funds available. Consequently, this project has been delayed, awaiting an additional $450,000 currently programmed in the 1984 budget. 6. The design of the Geyer Springs Project has been prepared in a manner that will allow Engineering to add to or delete from the project package as dictated by the avail- able funds after the 1984 budget approval. 7. This project is anticipated to be under contract by late February or early March 1984 with completion by mid Fall 1984. C.C.
