HomeMy WebLinkAbout7076A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE BEST BID FOR EACH: A CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SOCCER FIELD LIGHTING AT INTERSTATE PARK; AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS ON BOND AND BARROW STREETS; A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES OF AN ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING FIRM TO DO DESIGN WORK FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE STATION RENOVATION PROJECTION; AND A CONTRACT FOR NINTH YEAR CDBG STREET AND STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE STEPHENS SCHOOL AND OAK FOREST NEIGHBORHOOD AREAS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD CONTRACTS TO THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept the bids of and award contracts to the bidders as set forth in the attached documents for the installation of soccer field lighting at Interstate Park; for annual computer maintenance; for the installation of traffic signal improvements on Bond street at 9th and 14th and at Barrow and 36th street; for the services of an architectural engineering firm to do design work for the Little Rock Police Station renovation project; and for Ninth Year CDBG street and storm drainage improvements in the Stephens School and Oak Forest Neighborhood areas, for total prices not to exceed budget payable from the funds specified in the attachments hereto. The City's A/E Selection Committee consisting of five staff members has recommended the Riddick Engineering Corporation to design and prepare contract bidding documents for the renovation of the Little Rock Police Department. The fixed fee submitted by the Riddick firm is within the budgeted funds for professional services for the project. Funds have been appropriated for the project.
