RESOLUTION NO. 7,054
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
EDWIN C. LAKE FOR HIS VOLUNTARY SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS AN AUXILIARY
POLICE OFFICER.
WHEREAS, Edwin C. Lake began voluntary service as an
Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Little Rock in 1981;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lake has chosen to volunteer his service in
the Property Section of the City of Little Rock Police
Department where he reports three days per week, eights hours
per day; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lake has volunteered a total of 829 hours to
the Police Department in 1982 and in excess of 430 hours in
1983; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lake's commitment to voluntary public service
began as far back as 1958, when he joined the Civil Defense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors, on behalf of the Little
Rock Police Department and the Citizens of Little Rock, wishes
to express its appreciation to Edwin C. Lake for his service
and further commend him for his commitment to volunteerism
through public service.
