A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING
MRS. NANCY WOOTEN FOR HER TWENTY -EIGHT
YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, Nancy Wooten has devoted twenty -eight years of her
working career to the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wooten has spent each of her years, from
January 20, 1955, to July 29, 1983, in the position of Secretary
operating from the Office of the Mayor and City Manager of the
City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wooten possessed and freely shared a wealth of
knowledge that reached back to the times of Mayor /Council form of
government and extended forward to the Manager /Director form of
government; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wooten has distinguished herself by an
outstanding desire to assist and serve and has always greeted the
many persons who called or visited her office with a cheerful
voice and smile; and
WHEREAS, elected and appointed City officials, City
employees and citizens of Little Rock benefited from the warm,
conscientious and professional manner in which Mrs. Wooten
performed her duties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Mrs. Nancy Wooten is hereby recognized for
her contributions to the City of Little Rock and is now reminded
of the deep respect and esteem in which she is held by all who
benefited directly and indirectly from her service.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
