RESOLUTION NO. 7,234
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND THE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR RADIO EQUIPMENT.
As, in 1983, Motorola agreed to an extension of the
1982 contract at the existing costs with the stipulation that

unit /items that were not a part of the Motorola system would not
be included in the maintenance contract; and
WHEREAS, Motorola has been offered to extend the 1982
contract at the existing repair charge per unit price; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance contract for communication on
hand prior to the purchase of the Motorola equipment was
negoitated with Central Arkansas Communications, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Central Arkansas Communications, Inc. has also
agreed to extend the existing maintenance contract with no
increase in unit charges.
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
extend the communications maintenance contract with Motorola,
Inc., and Central Arkansas Communications, Inc., for a one (1)
year period beginning September 1, 1984 at no increase in unit
maintenance price.
SECTION 2: A thirty (30) day cancellation clause is to
be included in the extension of the contracts.
