RESOLUTION NO. 7,209
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
GRANT ACCESS AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS TO THE
SEXTON COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
DRIVE ACROSS CITY PROPERTY AT ROCK CREEK
COURTS.
WHEREAS, the access easement is needed across a tract
of City property in order to avert a construction operation which
would lower a 39" mark raw water aqueduct; and
WHEREAS, such an easement would create additional
cover for the aqueduct and is considered more desirable by the
Little Rock Water Department; and
WHEREAS, a drainage channel easement is needed across
City Property in order to protect the surrounding area from
erosion during peak flow situations; and
WHEREAS, these peak flow situations govern design for
the spillway at a lake and the drainage channel below the
discharge point; and
WHEREAS, the design guidelines for peak flow were set
by the Little Rock Public Works Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
grant an access easement to the Sexton Company for the
construction of a drive by the Sexton Company across a tract of
property owned by the City at Rock Creek Courts.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
grant a drainage easement for the construction of a drainage
channel by the Sexton Company across a tract of City property at
Rock Creek Courts.
SECTION 3. The standards and requirements for the
easement shall be satisfied prior to the time the easement is
executed.
