A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF HEARING ON
THE PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY IN BLOCK 7, PIKE
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, an alley runs between the present fire station at
8121 Asher Avenue and the site recently acquired for construction
of a new fire station; and
WHEREAS, the City has title to the property on both sides
of the alley that lies between Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block
7, Pike Addition to the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the Deed to Lots 9, 10, and 11, is recorded in
Deed Book 790, page 539, dated February 9, 1962, and recorded
March 22, 1962; and
WHEREAS, the Deed to Lots 6, 7, and 8, was recorded on
March 23, 1984, and is recorded as Instrument No. 84- 17888; and
WHEREAS, the alley should be vacated subject however, to any
public utility easements located in the alley.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The hearing on the closure of the alley shall
be held at the meeting of the Board of Directors in City Hall at
7:30 o'clock p.m. on the 5th day of June , 1984.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law by
publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a
newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having
general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
