A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND THE EXISTING CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON GEYER
SPRINGS ROAD AND CHICOT ROAD.

WHEREAS, as part of the 1983 advance engineering program,
partial plans were completed by the engineering consultant for
the improvement of Geyer Springs Road, Senate to Valley Drive;
and Chicot Road, Preston Drive to Milford Drive; and
WHEREAS, the improvements were funded as part of the
Capital Improvement Program appropriations recently passed by the
Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the Geyer Springs Project will be designed for
implementation early next year as part of the Federal Aid Urban
(FAU) program; and
WHEREAS, the Chicot Road plans will be completed for
future funding proposals; and
WHEREAS, the existing contract limit of $38,000.00 should
be extended to $110,516.00 which will allow the consultants to
complete all existing plans; and
WHEREAS, the consultants' fee is based upon actual cost
in accordance with the predetermined scope of work and the
budget.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to

extend the existing consulting contract with Air Maps, Inc., for
engineering services necessary for the completion of engineering
plans for the improvement of Geyer Springs Road, Senate to Valley
Drive; and Chicot Road, Preston Drive to Milford.
