A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS ON THE CONWAY,
MARKHAM /CBD IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
a bid and award a contract to Weaver - Bailey Contractors, Inc. and
to provide expenditures for third /party costs to support the
contract for the construction of pedestrian improvements on the
Conway, Markham /CBD Improvement Project for a total price not to
exceed the budget, payable from the funds specified in the
attached fact sheet.

SUBJECT: Construction Contract for Pedestrian Improvements
on Conway, Markham /CBD Improvements Project
BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Authorize the City Manager to enter into
contract with the ow bidder, Weaver- Bailey Contractors, Incorporated,
and to provide expenditures for third party costs to support this
contract.
Bid proposals were opened on December 30, 1983. The low bid of Weaver -
Bailey Contractors, Incorporated for $83,418.55 is acceptable. Special
project funds were appropriated as part of the 1983 budget process.
Construction can be started in January 1984 and will require 90 days to
complete.

SUBJECT: Construction Contracts for Pedestrian Improvements on
Conway /Markham /CBD Improvements Project
Bids for construction for Conway Street Improvements were opened at 11:00 a.m.
on December 30, 1983. The bid from Weaver - Bailey Contractors, Incorporated for
583,418.55 is considered to be an acceptable low bid. Your handling for Board
action is requested,
