A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE
ACQUISITION OF APPROXIMATELY 25 ACRES OF
LAND AT WESTCHESTER VILLAGE ESTATES.

WHEREAS, a 25 acre site was placed on the Park's System
Master Plan in April 1983; and
WHEREAS, during the initial phase of development of the
Westchester Village Estates, the Departments of Comprehenisve
Planning, Public Works and Parks and Recreation agreed to allow
subdivision development on higher grounds while working out a
formula to acquire the lower lands to the south, in order to
shift the site for the proposed park upon acquisition; and
WHEREAS, the value of the land is appraised at between
$4,000.00 to $5,000.00 per acre; and
WHEREAS, monies to complete the transaction will later
be appropriated from the Park Bond Interest Account.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby approves the
acquisition of approximately 25 acres of land at Westchester
Village Estates not to exceed $125,000.00.
