RESOLUTION NO. 7,263
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL EQUIPMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept bids and award a contract to bidders as set forth in the
attached fact sheets and bid tabulations for a contract for
traffic signal equipment for a total price not to exceed the
budget, payable from the funds specified in the fact sheets.

SUBJECT: Bid No. 4206, Traffic Signal Equipment
(Poles and Mast Arms)

BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Resolution authorizing the City Manager
to enter into a contract for purchase of traffic signal poles from
Thornton Sales (Valmont Industry Poles) of North Little Rock, the
lowest acceptable bidder. Total cost of this equipment will be
$64,845. Funds are appropriated in Account Nos. 599 -8160, 599 -81630
and 699 -8525 for these expenditures.
The equipment will be used for new and upgraded controls at the
following intersections: Cantrell and Riverfront, Markham and
Hooper, University and 5th, University and 10th, University and
12th, Geyer Springs and I -30, and others. This is owner furnished
equipment to be installed by other contracts, one of which has
already been awarded.
