Home My WebLink About7368M w � s i M RESOLUTION NO. 7,368 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED CONVEYING ONE -THIRD OF AN ACRE OF LAND OWNED BY THE LITTLE ROCK WATER WORKS TO ARKANSAS POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas holds title for the use and benefit of the Little Rock Municipal water Works to the following described land in Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of Section 34, Township 3 North, Range 14 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas; thence Westerly 1,820 feet, more or less, along the South line of Section 34 to the center line of Pinnacle Valley Road; thence Northwesterly 1,100 feet, more or less, along Pinnacle Valley Road to the intersection with Highway 300 (Roland Road); thence Northeasterly 366 feet, more or less, along Highway 300; thence North 64° 09' West 47 feet, more or less, to Point of Beginning (said point being the Southernmost corner of the proposed substation on the edge of Highway 300 Right of Way); thence continuing North 640 09' West 120 feet, more or less, to the Westernmost corner; thence North 250 51' East 20 feet to an Angle Point; thence North 640 09' West 90 feet to an Angle Point; thence North 25° 51' East 50 feet to an Angle Point; thence South 64° 09' East 90 feet to an Angle Point; thence North 25° 51' East 10 feet to the Northernmost corner; thence South 640 09' East 125 feet; more or less, to Easternmost corner at edge of Highway 300 right of way; thence Southwesterly 81 feet, more or less, 170 and, along Highway 300 right of way to Point 171 of Beginning and containing 0.33 acre, more or less. WHEREAS, it would be in the best interests of the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Municipal water Works for Arkansas Power and Light to install an electric substation on the above described property in order to provide continuous, stable, and sufficient electrical service to the Little Rock Municipal Water Work's Lake Maumelle Water Pumping Facility, and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works has approved the conveyance of the above described parcel of land to Arkansas Power and Light Company for the sole purpose of installing and operating an electric substation, and WHEREAS, the ownership of said land shall revert to the Little Rock Municipal Water Works in the event said land ceases to be used as a base for an operating electric substation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. This is to correct Quitclaim Deed filed at 85 -25343 of the Deed Records of Pulaski County, Arkansas. To have and to hold the same unto the said Grantee, and unto its successors and assigns, with all appurtenances thereunto belonging provided, however, that in the event the above described property ceases to be used as a base for an 174 -a - operating electric substation, the above described property shall revert to the Grantor in fee simple absolute.
