3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF
THE FUNDING OF A 911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE
4 SERVICE FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK ON THE
5 BALLOT FOR A VOTE BY THE CITIZENS OF LITTLE
ROCK DURING THE GENERAL ELECTION IN
6 NOVEMBER, 1986.

8 WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas
9
adopted the Arkansas Public Safety Communications Act of 1985;
10
11 and
12 WHEREAS, the purpose of this Act is to shorten the time and
13
14 simplify the method required for a citizen to request and receive
15 emergency aid; and
16 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors is desirous to
17
fund a 911 Emergency Telephone Service for the citizens of Little
18
19 Rock.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
21
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

23 Section 1. The Board of Directors agree that the funding of
24 a 911 Emergency Telephone Service will be placed before the
25
electors during the General Election in November, 1986.
