HomeMy WebLinkAbout117751 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 0 RESOLUTION NO. 11,775 i• A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH TWO ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE SUMMER EMPLOYMENT COORDINATION PROGRAMS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance,public safety and community- building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 04 -238 to solicit proposals for Summer Recreation programs and services for Little Rock youth, and WHEREAS, the City provides enhancement services for the Little Rock community with a specified number of providers based upon youth population, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends contract awards for Summer Recreation programs in the Little Rock community, and was further endorsed by the Commission on Children, Youth and Families. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with two 23 recommended organizations for summer employment coordination programs, subject 24 to negotiation by the City Attorney, for a total of $12, 843, with: 25 H [PAGE 1 OF 2] Resolution Contract with Two Organisations to Provide Youth Neighborhood -Rased Outof- School Programs in Targeted Neighborhoods 0 7 1 1. . Black Community Developers ($10,000) 2 2. Workforce Investment Act ($2,843) 3 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax 4 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 5 number 105 - 035 -T218. 6 Section 3. The term of the contract is for June 16, 2004 to September 1, 2004. 7 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 8 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 9 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 10 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 11 originally a part of this resolution. 12 Section 5. Repealer.
