HomeMy WebLinkAbout117711 RESOLUTION NO. 11,771 P7 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JOYNER, FORD AND BURKE FOR 5 GENERAL CONTRACTING SERVICES FOR THE RIVERFRONT 6 PARK CONNECTOR ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred 9 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement 10 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and 11 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to 12 be issued included Parks and Recreational Improvements, and 13 WHEREAS, the City issued Invitation to Bid No. 4227 for general contracting 14 services for trail and sculpture plaza construction in the Riverfront Park, and Joyner, 15 Ford and Burke was chosen to provide such services at an amount not to exceed Three 16 Hundred Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($300,000.00), and 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 20 into a contract with Joyner, Ford and Burke for general contracting services for trail and 21 sculpture plaza construction in the Riverfront Park, at an amount not to exceed Three 22 Hundred Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($300,000.00). 23 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
