HomeMy WebLinkAbout11750• 1 RESOLUTION NO. 11,750 2 i 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEXAS SCENIC COMPANY, 5 INC., FOR RENOVATION OF THE STAGE RIGGING IN THE 6 ROBINSON CENTER MUSIC HALL; AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES. 0 9 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred 10 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement 11 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and 12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission has been 13 allocated certain funds, a portion of which is designated to pay the costs of renovation 14 of the stage rigging on the stage of Robinson Center Music Hall, and 15 WHEREAS, an Invitation to Bid was issued and the Advertising and Promotion 16 Commission recommends that the bid of Texas Scenic Company, Inc. in the amount of 17 Three Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($328,500.00) be 18 accepted and approved; 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 22 into a contract with Texas Scenic Company, Inc. for the renovation of the stage rigging 23 on the stage of Robinson Center Music Hall, for the amount of Three Hundred Twenty- 24 Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($328,500.00); 25 Section 2. Funds for this project are to be allocated from the $70,635,000 Limited 26 Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004). Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
