HomeMy WebLinkAbout117290 0 l RESOLUTION NO. 11,729 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH 4 VARIOUS VENDORS FOR THE PURCHASE OF MINERAL 5 AGGREGATE FOR THE STREET DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC 6 WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City advertised formal Bid No. C04006 to solicit proposals for an 9 annual contract for mineral aggregate, sand and stone for the Operations Street Division 10 of the Public Works Department, and the City opened the proposals received on 11 February 26, 2004, and 12 WHEREAS, bids were received from various vendors for each item on the bid 13 proposal, as set forth in Attachment "A" hereto. 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into agreements with the 17 vendors submitting the low bid meeting the specification for each item listed on the bid 18 proposal, in a total amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand and no /100 Dollars 19 ($50,000.00) for the annual contract for mineral aggregate, sand and stone for the 20 Operations Street Division of the Public Works Department. 21 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are to be allocated from Account No. 200- 22 220 - 2210 -3020. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 24 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 25 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 27 originally a part of this resolution. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
