HomeMy WebLinkAbout117160 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 11,716 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PULASKI COUNTY 5 JUVENILE SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 $22,500, TO PROVIDE A YOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED 7 OUT -OF- SCHOOL PROGRAM IN THE EAST TARGETED 8 NEIGHBORHOOD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 11 intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety 12 and community- building, and t 13 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 04 -212 to solicit proposals for 14 neighborhood- based, out -of- school youth programs and services for Little Rock youth, 15 and 16 WHEREAS, the City was divided into neighborhood service areas with a 17 specified number of providers for each area based upon youth population, and 18 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, 19 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and recommends the 20 following contractor for an award for the East neighborhood; and 21 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Commission on Children, Youth and Families met 22 March 12, 2004, reviewed the recommendation of this review committee, and hereby 23 approves and endorses this recommendation to the Board of Directors. 24 H [PAGE 1 OF 3] Resolution Contract with Four Organ cation, to Provide Youth Neighborhood -gased Oulof.Rhool Programs in Targeted Neighborhoods E 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 2 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 3 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with 4 Pulaski County Juvenile Services (Our Club -East) for an East neighborhood- based 5 program in an amount not to exceed twenty-two thousand five hundred dollars 6 ($22,500). 7 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax 8 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 9 number 105 - 035 -T214. 10 Section 3. The term of the contract is for March 17, 2004 to December 31, 2004,. 11 and may be extended for two additional one -year terms upon appropriation, 12 satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the parties. 13 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 14 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 15 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 16 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 17 originally a part of this resolution. 18 Section 5. Repealer.
