3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE
5 TRACTOR TRUCK AND TRAILER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
6 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of one (1) tractor truck and
9 trailer to be primarily used to transport the Department's Cold Planer in addition to
10 day -to -day operations to meet all types of large capacity transport needs, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #04208 for the
12 purchase of the equipment and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
13 minimum specifications was received from Glovers Truck Parts & Equipment, in the
14 amount of One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand, Four Hundred One Dollars
15 ($132,401.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract for the purchase of one (1) tractor truck and trailer for the Public Works
20 Department, for the amount of One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand, Four Hundred One
21 Dollars ($132,401.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #223 -220-
23 7119 - 7060 -10 (2003 Short Term Financing).
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
