3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WOODS CARADINE ARCHITECTS AND
5 STUCK ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS FOR DESIGN OF THE
6 SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred
10 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement
11 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and
12 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to
13 be issued included Parks and Recreational Improvements, and
14 WHEREAS, the City issued an RFQ under Bid No. 03284 for architectural
15 services for design of the Southwest Community Center expansion, and Woods
16 Caradine Architects and Stuck Associates Architects were chosen to provide such
17 services at an amount not to exceed One Hundred Three Thousand, Nine Hundred
18 Eighty-two and no /100 Dollars ($103,982.00), and
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
22 into a contract with Woods Caradine Architects and Stuck Associates Architects for
23 architectural services for design of the Southwest Community Center expansion at an
24 amount not to exceed One Hundred Three Thousand, Nine Hundred Eighty-two and
25 no /100 Dollars ($103,982.00).

1 Section 2. Funds for these services are to be allocated from the $70,635,000
2 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004).
3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
6 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
8 resolution.
9 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
10 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
11 of such inconsistency.
