HomeMy WebLinkAbout117050 0 i RESOLUTION NO. 11,705 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JACKSON BROWN KING ARCHITECTS 5 FOR DESIGN OF DUNBAR COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION; 6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred 9 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement 10 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and 11 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to 12 be issued included Parks and Recreational Improvements, and 13 WHEREAS, the City issued an RFQ under Bid No. 03285 for architectural 14 services for design of the Dunbar Community Center expansion, and Jackson Brown 15 King Architects was chosen to provide such services at an amount not to exceed One 16 Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($125,000.00), and 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 20 into a contract with Jackson Brown King Architects for architectural services for design 21 of the Dunbar Community Center expansion at an amount not to exceed One Hundred 22 Twenty-Five Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($125,000.00). 23 Section 2. Funds for these services are to be allocated from the $70,635,000 24 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004). 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To authorize oontract for mettitectural services For Dunbar Community Center Expansion 0 0 1 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 2 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 3 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 4 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 5 resolution. 6 Section 4. Repealer.
