3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH AUSTIN CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR
5 RENOVATION OF STATE HOUSE CONVENTION CENTER
6 RESTROOMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,.the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred
9 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement
10 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and
11 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to
12 be issued which included State House Convention Center facilities improvements, and
13 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued for renovation of the restrooms at the
14 State House Convention Center and the Commission accepted the bid of Austin
15 Construction, Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand, Six
16 Hundred Sixty-seven and no /100 Dollars ($227,667.00) for such project,
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
20 into a contract with Austin Construction, Inc., for renovation of the restrooms at the
21 State House Convention Center in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty-seven
22 Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-seven and no /100 Dollars ($227,667.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for these services are to be allocated from the $70,635,000
24 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004).

Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
