HomeMy WebLinkAbout116980 1 RESOLUTION NO. 11,698 0 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF 5 ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS AT CENTRAL FIRE STATION, 6 AND STATIONS #2, #3, #4, #6, #7, #9, #10, #11, #12, #13, #14, #15, 7 #16, #17, #18, #19, #20, AND #21; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred 10 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement 11 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and 12 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to 13 be issued included construction and renovation for the Little Rock Police and Fire 14 Departments, and 15 WHEREAS, the City received bids under Bid No. 04202 for the installation of 16 access control systems at Central Fire Station, and Stations #2, #3, #4, #6, #7, #9, #10, #11, 17 #12, #13, #14, #15, #16, #17, #18, #19, #20 and #21, and Building Services recommends 18 awarding this contract to Commercial Air, Inc. as having the lowest responsible and 19 responsive bid meeting minimum specification, said bid being in the amount of Three 20 Hundred Forty-four Thousand, Nine Hundred Four and no /100 Dollars ($344,904.00); 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 24 into a contract with Commercial Air, Inc., to install access control systems on the above 25 listed fire stations, in the amount of Three Hundred Forty-four Thousand, Nine 26 Hundred Four and no /100 Dollars ($344,904.00) [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To authorize contract for access control systems tar lire stations 9 0 1 Section 2. Funds for these services are to be allocated from the $70,635,000 2 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004). 3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 6 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 8 resolution. 9 Section 4. Repealer.
