A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH COMMERCIAL AIR, INC.
TO PROVIDE HVAC CONTROL REPAIRS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City's Building Services staff is sometimes insufficient to
perform overflow HVAC control repairs in a timely manner, and
WHEREAS, it has been more economically feasible to handle such repairs by
contract rather than increasing the Building Services staff, and
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. C04001,
was issued to provide HVAC control repairs on an "on -call at all hours" basis, and
Commercial Air, Inc. submitted the only bid to be the primary contractor for this
purpose at a rate of $57.00 per hour labor and parts at the manufacturers' published list
price times .375.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
into a contract with Commercial Air, Inc. to provide HVAC control services, for an
estimated cost of Fifteen Thousand, One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($15,150.00), depending
upon the amount of hours and parts required.
Section 2. Funds are available from Building Services Operating Budget.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
