3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE
5 EQUIPMENT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City has become eligible for several ,
9 fire service, emergency preparedness, hazardous materials, and bomb team equipment
10 grants, and
11 WHEREAS, the City received bids under Bid No. 4204 for the purchase of 13
12 Thermal Imaging Cameras, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
13 minimum specifications was received from Casco, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred
14 Twelve Thousand, Eight Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($112,800.00), and
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
18 into a contract with Casco, Inc. for purchase of 13 Thermal Imaging Cameras for the
19 amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Eight Hundred and no /100 Dollars
20 ($112,800.00).
21 Section 2. Funds for these purchases are to be allocated from the Federal
22 Terrorism Grant Funds.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
24 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
