3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A GOVERNMENTAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
5 PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
6 PROVIDING ANIMAL SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock ( "City") operates and administers an animal
9 services facility in order to shelter, care, maintain, and dispose of stray and unwanted
10 dogs and cats located within the City's corporate limits, and
11 WHEREAS, Pulaski County, Arkansas ( "County") contracted with the City for
12 shelter services in 2002, and has requested that the City allow continued access to such
13 services for an agreed upon fee,-and
14 WHEREAS, the City currently has the capacity at its animal services facilities to
15 provide such services to the County for an additional six months.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Governmental
19 Services Agreement with the County in order to provide animal services for six (6)
20 months under the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement.
21 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
22 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
23 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
24 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
25 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.

Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions inconsistent with this
resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
