HomeMy WebLinkAbout115531 Pi 0 RESOLUTION NO. 11,553 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH CASCO TO 5 PROVIDE PROTECTIVE COATS AND PANTS TO UNIFORMED 6 PERSONNEL OF THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. P, 9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department supplies protective coats and pants, 10 along with other protective gear, for all firefighters, and 11 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. C03017 opened May 20, 2003, CASCO 12 submitted the most responsible and responsive bid for such clothing, said bid being for 13 an amount of Seventy-four Thousand, Two Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($74,200.00) for 14 seventy (70) sets. 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 18 into an annual contract with CASCO to purchase protective coats and pants for all 19 uniformed personnel of the Little Rock Fire Department, for an amount not to exceed 20 Seventy-four Thousand, Two Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($74,200.00) for seventy (70) 21 sets of such clothing. 22 Section 2. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the annual renewal of this 23 contract up to five (5) years with the approval of the City Manager. 24 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Account #100- 340 - 4200 -2025. [PAGE 1 OF 21 Reaolufion To authorise protective clothing for the firefighter, • s 1 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 2 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 3 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 4 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 5 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 6 resolution. 7 Section 5. Repealer.
