3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF
5 HUMAN RESOURCES SERVICES TO THE LITTLE ROCK
6 ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION COMMISSION, d/b /a
7 LITTLE ROCK CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU BY
8 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK HUMAN RESOURCES
9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the City created Little Rock Advertising and Promotion
12 Commission, d/b /a Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, by the
13 enactment of Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 17 -100 (1988), and
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to state law, two (2) members of the Advertising and
15 Promotion Commission are members of the City's Board of Directors, and
16 WHEREAS, the Advertising and Promotion Commission has asked the
17 City to provide human resources services for the Commission's employees, and
18 WHEREAS, the City's Human Resources Department has the expertise to
19 provide such services to the Commission in a manner that is more cost effective
20 for the Commission.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
22 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an
24 agreement for the provision of human resources services for the Little Rock

3 Section 2. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is
4 declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall
6 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
7 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
8 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof,
9 which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to
10 the extent of such conflict.
