RESOLUTION NO. 11,490
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE YOUTH
INTERVENTION PROGRAMS (YIP); AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention,
intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety
and community- building, and
WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 03 -218 to solicit proposals for
Youth Initiative Programs (YIP), and
WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposal submitted,
determined the proposal responsive, and recommends the organization listed below
for a contract award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with the
following organizations for youth initiative programs and services:
Section 1(a) Central
1. Little Rock Boys & Girls Clubs- Thrasher $35,110.00
Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax
revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account
number 105 - 035 -T114.
Section 3. The term of the contract is from April 2, 2003 to December 31, 2003.

1 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
2 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
3 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
5 originally a part of this resolution.
6 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which
7 are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
8 such conflict.
