3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A GLOBAL
4 POSITIONING SYSTEM VEHICLE MONITORING AND EVENT
5 RECORDING ROUTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Solid Waste Division, and the
9 Operations Division, have demonstrated a need for a global positioning system for
10 vehicle monitoring and route management, and
11 WHEREAS, after a public bidding process it was determined that Fleet Logistics,
12 Inc., submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase a GPS Vehicle
16 Monitoring and Event Recording Route Management System from Fleet Logistics, Inc.,
17 for an amount not to exceed eighty three thousand two hundred and ninety dollars
18 ($83,290.00).
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the following accounts:
20 (a) From the Public Works Operations Account, Account No. 222 - 220 -7110-
21 (10), the sum of twenty seven thousand eight hundred and ninety-five dollars
22 ($27,895.00);
23 (b) From the Public Works Solid Waste Account, Account No. 603- 220 -2110-
24 6081, the sum of fifty five thousand three hundred and ninety -five dollars ($55,395.00).
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
26 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
27 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

1 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
2 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws and parts of laws inconsistent with the
5 provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
