RESOLUTION NO. 11,449
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
5 NINETEEN MID -SIZE POLICE PATROL SEDANS FOR THE
6 POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM BALE CHEVROLET CO. FOR
7 THE AMOUNT OF $317,818.00; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of nineteen (19) mid -size police
10 patrol sedans to replace older, higher - mileage units, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03202 for the
12 purchase of nineteen such mid -size sedans, and
13 WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder meeting minimum specifications was
14 received from Bale Chevrolet Co. in the amount of $16,755.00 per unit, for a total
15 amount of Three Hundred Seventeen Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighteen and no /100
16 Dollars ($317,818.00)
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T14E BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
20 into a contract for the purchase of nineteen (19) mid -size police patrol sedans for the
21 Police Department from Bale Chevrolet Co., for the total amount of Three Hundred
22 Seventeen Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighteen and no /100 Dollars ($317,818.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2003 Replacement Budget
24 Account #223-360-7118-7060-10.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

1 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
2 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
3 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
4 resolution.
5 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
6 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
7 of such inconsistency.
8 Section 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
9 adoption.
