HomeMy WebLinkAbout11383I RESOLUTION NO. 11,383 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH O'REILLY AUTO PARTS COMPANY FOR 5 THE ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER FOR VEHICLE REPLACEMENT 6 PARTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 S WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department needs to purchase various automotive 9 parts during the course of a year, and 10 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this most efficiently it published RFP # CO2020 11 on September 12, 2002, and determined that the lowest responsible and responsive bidder 12 was O'Reilly Auto Parts, and the secondary bidder for those circumstances during the 13 course of a year when the primary bidder could not perform was Napa Auto Parts, 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with 17 O'Reilly Auto Parts Company to provide automotive parts to the City of Little Rock, as 18 needed, in accordance with the response submitted to RFP # CO2020; further, the City 19 Manager is authorized to accept NAPA auto parts as a secondary bidder should it be 20 necessary to go to a secondary source for automotive parts during the course of year. 21 Section 2. Purchases pursuant to this resolution are anticipated to cost 22 approximately one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000.00) during the 23 course of a year; funds for these purchases are available in Account No. 600- 360 - 6040 -6041- 24 9201 -01. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution Annual purchase of automotive repair parts 9 1 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions 2 of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or 3 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 4 Section 4. Repealer.
