HomeMy WebLinkAbout11349I RESOLUTION NO. 11,349 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A TRACTOR 4 DRAWN AERIAL TRUCK FROM PIERCE MANUFACTURING, INC., 5 USING 2002 SHORT TERM FINANCING FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City has the authority to use short term financing provisions as a 9 result of the passage of Amendment 78 to the Arkansas Constitution, and 10 WHEREAS, there is a need to purchase a tractor drawn aerial truck for the Little 11 Rock Fire Department to replace a 1983 -year model truck that has failed its annual 12 ladder inspection, and 13 WHEREAS, the City published Bid No. 02234 and received four bids in response, 14 and determined that Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., provided the lowest responsible and 15 responsive bid, 16 NOW, THEREFORE,'BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with 19 Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., to purchase a tractor drawn aerial truck for an amount not 20 to exceed six hundred and fifty nine thousand nine hundred and ninety dollars 21 ($659,990.00). 22 Section 2. Funds flinthis purchase are available in Account No. 222- 360 -7118- 23 7060 -10. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, 25 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid 26 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution Purchase of tractor drawn aerial truck: Pierce Manufacturing 1 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 2 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 3 resolution. 4 Section 4.
