3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF AN
4 ARTICULATED DUMP TRUCK FOR PUBLIC WORKS WITH SOLID
5 WASTE REVENUE BOND PROCEEDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has demonstrated the need to purchase a 30 -ton
8 . articulated dump truck for work with the City's obligations to dispose of solid waste, and
9 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process pursuant to Bid No. 01354, which attracted
10 six bidders and three qualified bids, it was determined that Clark Machinery Company of Little
11 Rock, Arkansas, had submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
13 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase one 30 -ton articulated dump
15 truck from Clark Machinery of Little Rock, Arkansas, for a price not to exceed two hundred and
16 thirty seven thousand three hundred and fifty eight dollars ($237,358).
17 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the proceeds of the Solid Waste
18 Revenue Bonds in Account No. 603 - 220 - 2100 -7060 (10).
19 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
20 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,
21 such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which
22 shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
23 unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
24 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
25 resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
