3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 10,428
4 (DECEMBER 15,1998) TO INCREASE THE DAILY STORAGE FEE FOR THE
5 CITY IMPOUND LOT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, on December 15, 1998, the City adopted Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,428,
8 to set the daily impound lot storage fee at twelve dollars ($12.00) a day, and
9 WHEREAS, on November 8, 2000, the City adopted Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,926,
10 which amended Little Rock, Ark. Resolution 10,428, to set the daily impound lot storage fee at eighteen
1 l dollars ($18.00) a day, and
12 WHEREAS, there is a need to increase the amount of the fee charged by the impound lot to
13 help meet increases in the cost of operation and, after a review of the amount currently assessed by
14 other impound lots in the area which reveals that the City charge is substantially lower than the rate
15 currently charged by eight of the nine local commercial wrecker services (seven charge $25.00 daily
16 storage, one charges $27.00 and one charges $20.00),
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,428 (December 15, 1998), as
20 amended, is hereby amended to provide that the amount of daily fee for storage of a vehicle at the
21 impound lot shall be $23.00 a day.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
24 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain

I in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
2 originally a part of the resolution.
3 SECTION 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
4 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
5 inconsistency including, but not limited to, Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,428
6 (December 15, 1998), and Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,926 (November 8, 2000).
