3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A 160
4 HORSEPOWER MOTOR GRADER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department established the need for a 160-
7 horsepower motor grader for work on City street and drainage maintenance programs,
8 particularly since this purchase is to replace one purchased in 1978, and
9 WHEREAS, pursuant to RFP No. 01350, which resulted in three qualified bids, it
10 was determined that Hugg & Hall Construction and Industrial Equipment Company
11 submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase one 160 -HP motor grader
15 from Hugg & Hall Construction and Industrial Equipment Company in an amount not to
16 exceed one hundred and twelve thousand four hundred and fifty dollars ($112,450.00).
17 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. 600 - 360 -6020-
18 6021 - 7060 -(10).
19 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
20 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
21 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
22 of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
23 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.

I Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
2 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
