RESOLUTION NO. 11-1S8
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH ARKANSAS
EXCAVATING TO DEMOLISH CONCRETE SLABS AND FOOTERS
AND TO PERFORM SITE CLEAN UP IN THE WILLIAM JEFFERSON
CLINTON PRESIDENTIAL PARK SITE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there is a need to demolish various concrete slabs and footers, and to
perform site clean up, in preparation for the further development of the site of the William
Jefferson Clinton Presidential Park, and
WHEREAS, after publication of a Request for Proposals to perform this work, the
City received bids from five different contractors, and Arkansas Excavating was deemed
to be the lowest responsible and responsive bid,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with

Arkansas Excavating, in an amount not to exceed one hundred and nineteen thousand
seven hundred dollars ($119,700) — an amount which includes a fifty thousand dollar
($50,000) contingency fund -- to demolish concrete slabs and footers, and to perform site
clean up at the site of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Park.
Section 2. Funds for this contract are available in Account No. 305 - 214 -A105.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
2 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
