RESOLUTION NO. 11,080
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A LEASE WITH THE
INSTITUTE OF BASIC LIFE PRINCIPLES FOR THE
EXCLUSIVE USE OF DESCRIBED OFFICE SPACE
LOCATED AT 300 ROOSEVELT ROAD; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Institute of Basic Life Principles ( "IBLP ") now owns and is
currently renovating the former Veterans Administration Hospital Building ( "the Building ")
located at 300 Roosevelt Road for the purpose of establishing a Christian -based training
center and in furtherance of the IBLP's commitment to community service; and
WHEREAS, the IBLP has offered the Little Rock Police Department, approximately
12,440 square feet of renovated office space located on the second floor of the Building's
north wing with access from East 24th Street near Main Street and from East Roosevelt
Road; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department desires to house its downtown patrol
division offices and civil traffic services unit offices at this location on a long -term basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a lease agreement with the
Institute of Basic Life Principles, in a form approved by the City Attorney, for a period of not
more than ninety nine (99) years, for the Little Rock Police Department's exclusive and
separate use of the north wing second floor of the Building located at 300 Roosevelt Road.
Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of
the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.

Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
