RESOLUTION NO. 11,077
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH
STEP UP SUPPORT CENTER AND GREATER
FRIENDSHIP, INC. TO PROVIDE YOUTH PREVENTION
PROGRAMS TARGETED FOR YOUTH IN SOUTHWEST
LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock funds contracts for prevention, intervention and
treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development; and,
WHEREAS, the City released a Request for Proposal in a competitive bid process to
solicit organizations to provide youth prevention programs targeted for southwest Little Rock
youth; and,
WHEREAS, a five - member selection committee identified and recommended service
contracts with the following lowest responsible bidders: Step Up Support Center and Greater
Friendship, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with
the following organizations for the provision of services to youth in Southwest Little Rock:
Operations
Program Budget
Step Up Support Center $ 147,260.00
Greater Friendship, Inc. 119,545.00
TOTAL $ 266,805.00
SECTION 2. The contract's terms shall be for from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002.
SECTION 3. Funding for these programs is from funds remaining from the 2000 PIT
program contracts, and FUTURE Little Rock 2001 allocation, account number 210 - 035 -13066.
