IN THE AMOUNT OF $67,250 TO BUILD AN AFFORDABLE HOME; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City issued.requests for proposals to construct an affordable home at 2301 Chester Street within the City, and John Wright Construction Company submitted to lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of $67,250.00, and WHEREAS, this home is located in the Tornado Disaster Area Targeted Neighborhood Enhancement Plan (Tornado Disaster Area TNEP) and will be occupied by Otha & Mary Jackson, and WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 11,007 (February 20, 2001), the Board of Directors approved a contract with Mr. & Mrs. Jackson for a'INEP contract in the amount of $13,450.00, and this sum will be applied to this construction cost, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with John Wright Construction Co. to build an affordable home at 2301 Chester Street, within the City, for an amount not to exceed sixty seven thousand two hundred and fifty ($67,250.00) dollars. Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available from: a. Tornado Disaster Area TNEP funds $13,450.00 b. Home Investment Partnership Program 20,000.00 C. Pulaski County funding sources 33,800.00 Section 3. The construction of this structure is consistent with the Tornado Disaster Area TNEP, and is also consistent with the City's CDBG Consolidated Plan. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance. Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts of the same, that are inconsistent with this resolution, including but not limited to Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 18,409 (December 26, 2000) ( "the 2001 Budget ordinance "), are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
