3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH LEWIS - BURNETT
5 EMPLOYMENT FINDERS TO PROVIDE JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES
6 TO WELFARE TO WORK ELIGIBLE CLIENTS; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock was awarded a $5,000,000 grant from the United States
10 Department of Labor to provide Welfare to Work services to Pulaski County residents; and,
11 WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals to solicit job placement services to assist
12 Welfare to Work eligible clients; and,
13 WHEREAS, after reviewing the proposals of responding agencies a selection committee
14 recommends Lewis- Burnett Employment Finders as the lowest responsible bidderto provide designated
15 services;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
17 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with Lewis -
19 Burnett Employment Finders to provide job placement services for the City's Welfare to Work program
20 for an amount not to exceed $62,774.
21 SECTION 2. Funding is available from the U.S. Department of Labor, Welfare to Work
22 Competitive Grant from account WTOW- CON -A120.
