3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) REAR
4 LOAD REFUSE TRUCKS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process it was determined that Sterling Trucks of
7 Arkansas, Inc., submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid of sixteen bids submitted
8 for the purchase of two 25 -yard cubic yard high compaction refuse collection trucks,
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
10 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
11 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase two 25 -yard cubic yard high
12 compaction refuse collection trucks in the amount of one hundred and eighty-eight thousand
13 two hundred and ninety-two dollars ($ 188,292.00) from Sterling Trucks of Arkansas, Inc.
14 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. 603 - 220 - 2110- 7060 -10.
15 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
16 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
17 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the
18 resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
19 invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
20 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
21 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
22 inconsistency.
