A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION
OF FIRE HYDRANTS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
FOR THE YEAR 2001; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. During the calendar year 2001, whenever the Chief of the Little
Rock Fire Department shall select locations within the City of Little Rock for fire
hydrants deemed necessary for adequate fire protection for the City of Little Rock and
requests the Board of Water Works Commissioners of Little Rock Municipal Water
Works to install same, the said Board of Water Works Commissioners shall have full
authority to install said hydrants and charge rental therefore as hereinafter provided.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.

We have attached a proposed Fire Hydrant Resolution for the year 2001.
If this resolution is approved, it will succeed the current resolution. This
type of resolution has been used for the past several years and seems to
be satisfactory.
Installation of new hydrants is based on the request of the Fire Chief at
locations where there are existing water mains large enough to support
fire flow.
Should this fire hydrant resolution be passed for 2001, please, return a
fully executed copy for our files.
