HomeMy WebLinkAbout110010 I RESOLUTION NO. 11,001 n L-A 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH 4 BROOKS BROTHER COLLISION CENTER AND HC FLEET 5 TRUCK SERVICE FOR PAINT AND BODY REPAIR SERVICES 6 TO CITY VEHICLES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. s WHEREAS, the City periodically needs body work or painting done on vehicles in 9 its fleet, and 10 WHEREAS, it is more cost effective to bid an annual contract for work on light, 11 medium, and heavy vehicles, and 12 WHEREAS, Bid No. C01001 attracted four bids and, resulted in a determination 13 that Brooks Brothers Collision Company was the lowest responsible and responsive bidder 14 for light and medium vehicles, and HC Fleet Truck Services was the sole bid, but was also 15 a responsible and responsive bidder, for heavy and specialized equipment, 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 17 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Brooks 19 Brothers Collision Company to provide body work and paint work for light and medium 20 City vehicles as needed, and with HC Fleet Truck Services to provide body work and paint 21 work for heavy and specialized equipment as needed, in accordance with the terms of their 22 responses to City Bid No. C01001. 23 Section 2. It is anticipated that the annual cost for these services will be a total of 24 one hundred and eighty thousand dollars ($180,000.00), and that funds are available to 25 pay up to this amount in Account No. 600 - 360 - 6040 - 6041 - 6082 -13. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, 27 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 28 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions 29 of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or 30 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
