5 ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO
6 WELFARE TO WORK ELIGIBLE CLIENTS; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock was awarded a $5,000,000 grant from the
United States Department of Labor to provide Welfare to Work services to Pulaski
County residents, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to extend the terms of certain subcontracts for an
additional six months, through June 30, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the subcontracts of the
following Welfare to Work providers for six months, until June 30, 2001:
1. Central AR Substance Abuse Programs for Addiction Assessment,
Counseling and Referral Coordination (Bid #99 -314) no cost extension;
2. Goodwill Industries for Job Readiness (Bid #99 -319) for an amount not to
exceed $30,830;
3. CATA for Transportation Coordination (Bid #99 -312) for an amount not
to exceed $31,827;
4. Pulaski Technical College for Education Coordination (Bid #99 -315) for
an amount not to exceed $19,923;
5. St. Francis House for Childcare Coordination (Bid #99 -359) for an amount
not to exceed $19,160;
6. St. Francis House for Housing Coordination (Bid #99 -360) for an amount
not to exceed $18,410.

Section 2. Funding is available for the U. S. Department of Labor, Welfare to
Work Competitive Grant.
