2 A RESOLUTION TO RENEW THE TAXICAB OPERATOR PERMIT
3 FOR DEWEY WORTHY TAXI COMPANY AS AN INDEPENDENT
4 TAXICAB OPERATOR WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
5 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, Dewey Worthy Taxi Company has operated as an independent taxicab
8 company since April 1, 1983, when the City limited the number of taxicab operator permits, and
9 WHEREAS, Dewey Worthy has timely applied for a renewal of his taxicab operator
10 permit pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 34- 38(d)(2) (1988), and has provided all
11 necessary documentation to support such renewal,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The taxicab operator permit for one independent taxicab operated by the
15 Dewey Worthy Taxi Company is hereby renewed for the period of January 1, 2001 to
16 December 3l, 2001.
17 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
18 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
19 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
20 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
21 unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
22 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
23 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
24 inconsistency.
