A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF
THE CONTRACT WITH ARKANSAS CHILDREN'S
HOSPITAL (ACH) TO PROVIDE ADOLESCENT
OUTPATIENT AND LIMITED RESIDENTIAL
SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES TO
LITTLE ROCK RESIDENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has been committed to prevention, intervention and
treatment programs to enhance public safety, community - building, and youth development; and,
WHEREAS, the current contract with Arkansas Children's Hospital- Insure the Children
has an option for two additional one -year extensions based on their performance and Little Rock
Board of Directors appropriations; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contract with Arkansas
Children's Hospital (ACH) to provide adolescent outpatient and limited residential substance
abuse treatment services to Little Rock residents.
SECTION 2. The contract's terms shall be for one year, from January 1, 2001 to
December 31, 2001, and may be extended for one additional one -year term upon satisfactory
performance and mutual agreement of the parties.
SECTION 3. Funding for this contract shall not exceed $450,000 and shall come from
prevention, intervention and treatment funds.
SECTION 4. Any contract entered into prior to the passage of the City Budget
Ordinance for the Year 2001 shall contain a non - appropriation clause.
