RESOLUTION NO. 10,957
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF
THE CONTRACT WITH THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT
OF HEALTH, BUREAU OF ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
PREVENTION, TO PROVIDE ADULT SUBSTANCE
ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES IN A RESIDENTIAL
SETTING TO LITTLE ROCK RESIDENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention
and treatment services to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development for
Little Rock residents,
WHEREAS, the current contract with the Arkansas Department of Health, Bureau of
Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention has an option for two additional one -year extensions based
on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contract with Arkansas
Department of Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention to provide adult substance
abuse treatment services in a residential setting to Little Rock residents.
SECTION 2. The contract's terms shall be for one year, from January 1, 2001 to
December 31, 2001, and may be extended for one additional one -year term upon satisfactory
performance and mutual agreement of the parties.
SECTION 3. Funding for this contract shall not exceed $333,610 and shall come from
prevention, intervention and treatment funds.
SECTION 4. Any contract entered into prior to the passage of the City Budget
Ordinance for the Year 2001 shall contain a non- appropriation clause.
